The mission of MEDLIBRE is to advance image guided surgery based on open source software development.
We develop an open source framework for
- Real-time visualization of surgical instruments relative to the patient’s anatomy by fusion of live endoscope or microscope video with stereotactic medical imaging data (augmented reality)
- Real-time broadcast of intraoperative data via telecommunication networks
- Real-time intraoperative access to a second opinion via interactive telecommunication from a remote expert
